My Journey to Creating Envision Yoga

In a world where trauma and emotional pain often lurk just beneath the surface, I found myself searching for a way to heal that went beyond traditional therapy. My journey to creating Envision Yoga was born out of personal necessity, deep introspection, and a deep desire to help others find the peace I had been desperately seeking.

The story begins with my own experience of loss, trauma, and healing. Like many, I had been carrying the weight of old wounds—memories and feelings that clung to me, shaping my present in ways that felt beyond my control. I had tried various healing modalities, but it wasn’t until I discovered EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) that I began to feel a profound shift. The use of bilateral stimulation, coupled with revisiting painful memories, allowed me to reprocess and release the hold they had on me. It was life-changing.

Yet, as transformative as EMDR was, I sensed there was more to explore. Yoga had long been a part of my life—a practice that offered physical strength, mental clarity, and spiritual connection. I began to wonder: what if the power of yoga could be combined with the therapeutic benefits of bilateral stimulation? Could the body’s movement, breath, and intentionality enhance the healing process even further?

I started experimenting. On my own yoga mat, I integrated bilateral beats into my practice, pairing them with positive mantras that countered the negative beliefs I held about myself. The results were immediate and profound. Not only did I feel my body and mind aligning in a way I hadn’t experienced before, but I also noticed old memories resurfacing naturally, only to be gently processed and released as I moved through each pose. This wasn’t just a personal revelation—it was the birth of something new, something powerful.

Thus, Envision Yoga was created.

The Efficacy of Envision Yoga

Envision Yoga is more than just a blend of yoga and bilateral stimulation; it’s a groundbreaking practice that taps into the body’s innate ability to heal itself. The core principle is simple yet profound: by using positive mantras during yoga, we directly address the negative memories and beliefs stored within us. These mantras, combined with the rhythmic bilateral beats used in EMDR, trigger the reasons why we don’t believe in them. As we move and breathe, these memories naturally surface and are processed – allowing for true, deeply embodied healing.

The results speak for themselves: a renewed sense of self, an ability to move forward with clarity and purpose, and a profound connection to their inner strength. Envision Yoga isn’t just a practice; it’s a pathway to reclaiming one’s life.

The Future of Envision Yoga

Looking ahead, I see Envision Yoga growing far beyond its current scope. The potential for this practice to transform lives on a global scale is immense. My vision is to see Envision Yoga studios in cities around the world, each one a sanctuary where people can come to heal, grow, and connect with their true selves.

I also foresee Envision Yoga becoming an integral part of corporate wellness programs, helping employees manage stress, improve focus, and enhance overall well-being. The integration of Envision Yoga into mental health programs, trauma recovery centers, and wellness retreats is another exciting prospect. I plan to establish an affiliate model under which to train instructors in my methods, with low costs and barriers to entry, so that this practice can be taught by yoga teachers around that world that share my passion for healing. In this way, we can bring this powerful new technique to communities around the country and all around the world, starting a ripple effect of healing and transformation.

As Envision Yoga continues to grow, I remain committed to its core principles: authenticity, accessibility, and the unwavering belief in the body’s ability to heal. This journey is just beginning, and I am both humbled and excited to see where it will lead.

Envision Yoga is more than a practice; it’s a movement – a powerful force for healing, growth, and self-discovery. As its founder, I am honored to share this journey with the world, knowing that the impact of Envision Yoga will be felt for generations to come.

Mistress Cyan Holds “Slave Auction” Toy and Food Drive

Los Angeles, CA – Friday, December 8th, Mistress Cyan will be warming the holidays and a lot of butts with her annual “Slave Auction” toy drive for charity.

The party is a kinky take on the classic bachelor auction. Volunteers put themselves up for auction for the night. Those bringing in a new toy for children, canned food, or dry goods get play money to bid on the “slaves” for the evening. Winning bidders get to play with their new toys for the night. Everything is negotiated, consensual and for fun.

Last month’s food drive and auction for Thanksgiving brought in over $5,000 worth of donated food. Hand trucks and dollies were required to bring in the bulk goods which were stacked onstage. Blankets, gift cards and cash donations are also accepted. Food, blankets, and monetary donations go The Metropolitan Community Church in North Hollywood, which then distributes the goods to shelters and the homeless for the holidays. Toy donations go to the Toys for Tots program, which distributes them to needy children.

“We would like to invite all our friends in kink and leather to join us this year and contribute to the needy in Los Angeles, said Mistress Cyan. “Last year, we collected over 2000 cans of food and more than 200 pounds of dry goods, as well as cash and gift cards to distribute for Christmas. Let’s try and surpass that this year. It’s all for a good cause and good kinky fun!”

Doors open at 8:00 P.M. at Sanctuary LAX, 10914 S. La Cienega Blvd., across from the Los Angeles Airport. Admission for the party is $20. Dress code for the night is fetish, leather, or classy casual. No cut offs or baseball caps please.

Los Angeles, CA – Southern California’s largest dungeon presents the Sanctuary Marketplace, and charity “Slave Auction” party, Saturday, November 11th, at Sanctuary LAX, 10914 S. La Cienega Blvd.

Baadmaster’s Guide to Public Play: Part Three

In order to live up the title of “Complete Guide,” let’s conclude this series with a collection of tips to make your public play a success. Of course, if you are an advanced player, these tips might seem obvious. Then again, you can use them as a check list to see that you have not forgotten any of them.

• Plan your scene. When you see musicians jam, they usually have their sets planned out. It is not totally free form. Same with public play – especially if it is your first time. You should not just wing it. Have a good idea of what equipment you will be using, what your scene will consist of and the general arc of the play. It need not be a note-for-note plan, but you should not leave a lot to chance – especially if it is your first scene.

• Agree on a safe word. This has been mentioned so many times, even in Fifty Shades for crying out loud, you probably want to punch the computer screen. Don’t. This is rather important and worth repeating. Make sure you not only have a safe word, but also have a safe signal.

• If you are performing rope bondage, watch out for cramping. The sub might not safeword on it, but it can be very painful – and not in a good way. Check in with the sub every once in a while with respect to this issue.

• If you are a hard or heavy player who is new to this particular group or dungeon, introduce yourself – and your submissive – to the host and/or the Dungeon Monitor (DM) and explain what you will be doing in your scene. That way, the DM will know what to expect, know that it is fully consensual, that you are in control and will not step in and stop your scene.

• If you wish to do something super-edgy and dangerous – like flesh hook suspension – you MUST discuss it with the host way before the actual party. (Again, this seems obvious, especially as equipment must be brought in.) This also applies to fire play and knife play.

• Although pain is not a requirement for a successful scene – rope bondage, caging or mummification can all be pain-free – remember what is heavy pain to one submissive can be light pain to another. One pain size does not fit all. The key word here is “communicate.”

• If you only want to watch, fine. Being a voyeur is perfectly acceptable at a play party. But be respectful of another’s scene. It might seem obvious, but do not interfere with any scene in any way.

• If you meet someone new and want to play, negotiate and outline the scene. The bottom should state in no uncertain terms what his/her hard limits are. And the Top should always respect these limits.

• Stick to these negotiated guidelines. Unless you are an experienced couple, stay reasonably within your negotiated limits. For example, if you have negotiated a light caning, keep it light. You might want to push the sub’s soft limits a bit, but don’t use the fact that he/she is immobilized as an excuse to do anything you want.

• Get the audience out of your mind. Concentrate solely on your Dominant or your submissive. Pay close attention to him/her; ignore any comments from those who are watching. Don’t play to the crowd; play to your partner.

• Observe. The Dom/me should be overly observant as to the condition of the sub. Often a submissive is reluctant to “safe.” Or is deep in subspace (which will be covered in subsequent articles) and cannot utter the safe word or even signal. So, don’t just rely on the safe word or safe signal. You don’t want to hurt your sub or have some DM stop your scene when you could just as easily have stopped it, or slowed it down, by yourself.

• Reassure your submissive. Being tied up or flogged in public is scary. Especially if it is his/her first time. Reassure the sub so he/she can relax and enjoy the scene.

• Don’t neglect aftercare. “Aftercare” is the sum total of the actions a Dominant takes, after a scene, to ease the transition of the submissive from her/his elevated endorphin state back to pre-scene normality. For many submissives, this can be the highlight of the scene!

• Don’t forget to clean and wipe down any equipment that you used.

There is one final thing you should do to make your scene a complete success. Make sure you thank the other person and compliment them on their participation in the scene with you.

But whether you play or not, have fun at the party. That’s what parties are for!
