Maryland: Camp Crucible kicks off this Saturday at a secret location in Maryland. This annual camp is a kinky coming together of folks from all over the globe to participate in camp activities including swimming, contests, dungeon play and of course, education. We can’t wait to hear about it from those who attend. Don’t forget your bug spray! Tickets are still available if you want to join in on the fun!
Worldwide: Showtime has a new BDSM themed miniseries coming out. Submission, which you can guess is based around one woman’s journey into the BDSM lifestyle. Creator Jackie St. James promises that her show will get it right when paired next to past BDSM disasters such as the Fifty Shades trilogy. Her aim is to bring the BDSM lifestyle into a more mainstream light. I think I’m going to check it out tonight – here’s hoping it’s decent!
England: Three Dominatrixes report in on the the booming business of online power exchange play. The women reveal some of the clients’ kinks and why they do it.
Los Angeles: This Saturday, May 28th is the inaugural part for Club LOCK (Leaders Of Consensual Kink), a new Male Dominant/female submissive oriented play party. The venue is Studio X in Chatsworth. It is a fun night of unrestricted play. Make sure to follow the information on the event page to RSVP.
Myself and the Kink Weekly staff are recovering from three days exhibiting at DomCon in Los Angeles. Our own Jenn Masri taught BDSM 101 and anniebear, Baadmaster, and some of the Kink Weekly models held down our booth passing out stickers. You can check out our Twitter @kinkweekly for photos of some of the fun. We’ll have a full recap with photos in next week’s issue. I was able to catch up with many BDSM influencers and had the pleasure of interviewing a few. I can’t wait to bring you the knowledge from those conversations in upcoming posts.
Have some kinky news to share? Tell us about any upcoming BDSM events, new products, dungeon openings / closings, collarings, kink in mainsteam media, and anything else you think kinky folks might be interested to hear about. Send your tips through to email@example.com, and it might just end up on next week’s “This Week in Kink”!
