I wanted to share this interesting photographer specializing in skateboard and BDSM. He seems like a bit of a goof but reminds me of a lot of the younger guys here in Los Angeles. His images share some pretty compelling subjects, most of which are now BDSM related. Take a look for yourself.
Artist Monica Bonvicini showcases her work in a recent gallery showing. She manages to merge BDSM< elements with every day objects which evokes emotions form those in attendance, that is if you are a fan of modern art. She works heavily in metal, including a thick chain hammock. Sadly the gallery showing is too far away from me but if you're nearby in the UK, check it out!
My partner anniebear passed along this poignant article to me. I think it shares an unfortunate truth about the BDSM culture. While I think the sentiments the author shares are not pervasive in all BDSM communities across the world, there are definitely steps that can be taken to improve consent and stop abusive behavior.
This week many people in the US will gather with family or friends to remember what counts most in our lives. The recent presidential election was a terrifying disappointment for some while others will be celebrating Hillary’s defeat. Whichever side you’re on, we here at Kink Weekly wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
