Phil started in the photographic trade when he was 19 working on professional darkrooms in London. He has had the pleasure of working with some of the best in the trade they taught him a lot of things. One of the greatest lessons he’s learned is that as a photographer you are always learning something new, a new style, lighting technique etc. He started shooting when he was 21 getting his first camera then working mostly in black and white. He used to spend hours just walking around London taking images then having the fun of processing and printing them. Working at the time for professional photographers and people who then had been in the trade a long time he learned his trade skills fast and discovered his love of concert photography which he did for many years. He had the luck of being published in Metal Hammer and Kerrang magazines on a few occasions.
