Well, the people have spoken and Donald Trump has been elected. We here at Kink Weekly are not thrilled with the results but there are a few shining moments that have come from the election including the defeat of Proposition 60 here in California which would require porn actors to wear condoms. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for our country.

Dark Odyssey took place this past weekend in San Francisco. This annual event brings the brightest talents to teach, commune, and share with other like-minded people. We heard it was a job well done as always.

We’re definitely digging this line of Vegan BDSM and bondage accessories by Bijoux Indiscrets. Though leather is a major kink for many folks, there are of course others who prefer other alternatives. This sure is a sexy line of harnesses and leashes.

We’re excited to announce the Sanctuary Marketplace here in Los Angeles will be making its annual return December 3rd. Just in time for the holidays, this highly anticipated event boasts vendors and performances galore! If you need a kinky gift for your special someone, this is the place to be with dozens of vendors displaying their wares. If you’re in the Southern California area, we hope to see you there!

London: Piggybacking on a previous article we featured a few weeks ago, feminist pornography producer Pandora Blake is back again. This time she is helping reshape the way the general population views “taboo” fantasies such as spanking and rape play. Thanks again in part to The Guardian who seems to be featuring more and more BDSM oriented news these days.

Worldwide: Recently Fetlife, the most popular social network for kinky people was no longer accepting new members. While the specific reasons were not clear, some speculate that Fetlife was under attack from spammers and those wishing to sabotage the beloved websites efforts. As of this week, things are back up and running as usual. We hope that Fetlife is able to maintain their popular service.

Worldwide: The debate rages on; does going to see a Dominatrix count as cheating? I personally believe in mutual consent in any type of relationship but what about a nonsexual play scene? This interesting read discusses both sides of the coin.

New York: This is a really great photo spread and read of a Dominatrix and her client. I enjoyed the insight she gives on her journey becoming and coming to terms with domination.

Cíao from Italy! I’m wrapping up my trip this week with anniebear and heading back stateside. I’m excited about this week’s sexy video from Kinbaku Tanto. I could get lost for hours in his intricate rope videos.

Worldwide: This fascinating read covers Wonder Woman and her glorious history as a kinky icon, feminist leader, and sex object. What’s your take on the classic character?

Portland, Oregon: Portland is leading the pack these days in polyamory acceptance. Apparently the city is running “rampant” with it. Groups, classes, and meet ups abound to help other non-monogomy fans find like-minded people.
Check out the story here.

Japan: Read about the Australian female rigger taking the Japanese shibari scene head on. Milla Reika has been working for years to make her mark in Japan and it’s working!

Ciao from Italy! I’m off on a trip with anniebear to see the sites, catch an opera, and of course indulge in food and drink. I’m happy to share our continuing series of photos from Vice Erotica, “A day in the life.” Baadmaster is also back with another controversial article, just to keep things interesting 😉

Worldwide: A disturbing report issued by Dove reveals that female body confidence remains at a staggeringly low level. A meager 24% of women polled from the US believe they have high levels of self-esteem. Australia and the UK are not much better with on 20% claiming to have high self-esteem. Read the full report here. I hope we as a society can continue reshaping the mainstream stereotypes of what women “should” be.

Australia: The University of Queensland conducted a interesting study on the gender roles on mainstream romance and erotica. Different groups were offered erotic stories of either a male dominant or female dominant with a third group having a story where both genders were equally dominant. I think you’ll see the findings are quite fascinating.

Germany: In an interesting attempt to educate children while at the same time normalizing “taboo” sexual acts, classes are bing offered to some youngsters on issues including anal sex, role play, and S&M. While I am personally all for normalizing and informing other about BDSM, I think there might be a bit of a limit here. Take a look at the article and tell us what you think in the comments.

Worldwide: In the midsts of the horrifying Pulse Nightclub, Orlando shooting, respective cities all over the globe have been coming out in droves for Pride in support of LGBT people. The Folsom Street East Fair just occurred last weekend merging LGBT with kink and BDSM. Here in Los Angeles, the West Hollywood Pride event went off without a hitch. It was, as always well attended with folks of all walks of life uniting under one cause.
