This strikes me as just one form of dominance: In particular, scene-based and rather BDSM-ish. If I were making my submissive helpless, then sure, I’m responsible for her safety and well being – but if she’s not helpless, I’m just responsible for telling her what I expect of her and then actually expecting it. She is responsible for execution and the quality of that execution. She is responsible for herself. She is accountable for her actions and the quality of those actions. She is serving me – her dominant – making my life easier and more enjoyable and fulfilling my expectations of her. That’s what she signed up for when she became my submissive. I find that the stereotype projected here may work for some people, but may make others run away from power dynamics!
